pH Adjustment |
| pH adjustment is used to neutralise excessively acidic or alkaline waste water, which is bad for collection systems, treatment plants and natural streams. Certain chemicals are added to achieve a pH value of approximately 7 - most effluents must be neutralised to a pH of 6 to 9 before discharge. Before devising a pH control system the waste water must be carefully analysed, and mixing intensity, response time of the control system and chemical metering are the three key factors. Our engineers are there to help you with the selection of suitable chemical agents, because overall costs vary greatly depending on the properties and quantities of the water to be neutralised. |
