| Septage Handling | ||
Septage accumulates in basins or cesspools and contains materials such as hair, grit, rags and plastics. Septage can either be processed with sludge at wastewater treatment plants after appropriate pre-treatment, or it can be treated at independent septage treatment units. In any case processes such as chlorine oxidation, aerobic digestion, anaerobic digestion, biological and chemical treatment are used to break down particles and neutralize offensive order. Unlike sludge septage is resistant to dewatering, and we can advise you on your particular requirements. | ||
